Innovasian ~ Fresh Southeast Asian Flavors from Mai Pham of Lemon Grass Kitchen

Crazy for curry? I have been craving something with that special curry kick and Innovasion's Red Curry Sauce with Chicken absolutely fit the bill. This is one of Innovasian's stellar collection of fully cooked , frozen Asian meals. What I especially love is that they have no MSG. Another thing is that they are very easy to prepare. You can also purchase Innovasion Sticky White Rice that microwaves in five minutes.

I thought I would share about this healthy meal option during the busy winter months because it is a fast and delicious way to eat right. You may need a spoonstick to get every last bit :D

I received coupons from #Klout and #Innovasian to try this delicious line and was not obligated to review. All opinions are my own

Old Factory Candles ~ Candle Experience and Tutorial

Wow - just lit the first candle in my lovely new set of Old Factory Candles and I love it. I chose the Fresh and Clean set which included Olive Blossom, Fresh Linen and Lemongrass and I started with the Lemongrass. Each candle is hand-poured in the USA and made with fragrant oils and soy wax. They come in cute little 2 ounce jars with lids and Pauline (Customer Love Specialist - great job title) sent me some little tips to get the most out of these great smelling candles.

Here's a few helpful tips on how to get the most out of your candle experience: 1. We recommend burning your candles for 1 to 3 hours at a time, and then letting them cool an hour before burning again. We've found that this helps to extend the burning life of the candle.
2. We've carefully formulated these candles so they are pleasing to smell but not overpowering. These candles burn great individually in small rooms, or you can burn 2 at a time in a larger room. We've grouped the fragrances in each …

Making the World Safe For Ducky With Zep

Loved having the opportunity to try out some new cleaning products from Zep! Especially getting the disenfectant action without all the toxic fumes. Zep Quick Clean Disinfectant is non-aerosol making it lots easier to use and I always think non-aerosol is better for any environment.

Motivation for cleaning is always good and I kept seeing the buzz about Zep from my fellow bloggers so I was jazzed when I was invited to try it out. It was a great reason to actually move all the stuff out of the shower and get busy although the following photo is a little embarrassing ....

It took no time to get everything cleaned up and disinfected  for my little buddy with Zep Quick Clean Disinfectant. Not only does it clean and disinfect it deodorizes and kills Cold and Flu viruses aka Staph and Rhinovirus!

Check Zep Commercial out on Facebook !
Thanks CrowdTap and Zep for providing the complimentary products to fuel my cleaning adventures.

How To add Google Friend Connect to Your Google Blog

Rumors swirled last year about Google discontinuing this feature yet I still have mine. I have been curious because I find it the easiest way to connect with other blogs. I like to click on the blogs that supported me by following my blog and I find it a great way to discover new blogs on my friend's sites. I think it may have been discontinued for non Google platforms. I have a new blog friend who did not know about this feature so I went digging. Google wants us to use Google+ so adding that to your site was easy to find and my friend added that. Sorry darling - not quite the same thing. Google+ is fun however if I just want to see your blog posts they may get lost amidst everything else you may share. The Google Friend Connect feature was a little hard to find but it is still easy to add - and they simplified the title to Followers on the Gadget List.
First thing you do is go to your blog and click Layout

"Heart On My Sleeve" - Edgy Album by Mary Lambert

Starts out with a fun romp that has been getting lots of air play named "Secrets" . When I heard the song I agreed to do this blog post. Sets the tone that artist Mary Lambert will not be holding back! "Secrets" was released August 5, 2014 and the album "Heart on My Sleeve" is released October 14, 2014. You can grab it on :  AMAZON and iTunes by clicking :D

~~UPDATE~~ If you click through to You Tube you will find this fun little tidbit "Official music video for Mary Lambert “Secrets,” available now:

Share and receive a #MarySecrets postcard by secretly telling the world your secret at   ~~

There are lots of surprises up Mary Lambert's sleeve and I find her bold and refreshing. One track "When You Sleep" is kind of disturbing so I keep listening. Its very pretty lyrically yet creeps me out in a good way.

My favorite is "Sum Of Our Parts"…

Silk and Cookies ~ with Silk Almond Coconut Blend

I'll be ready with Silk and cookies so I do not eat all the candy between trick or treaters.

Discovering new beverages is a favorite pastime of mine  so when invited me to try out Silk Almond Coconut Blend I was delighted. It fits right in with my new health program . I should say continuous health program - I am always looking for new ways to enjoy some of my favorite things - just in a healthier way. I tried coconut milk from my local farmer's market as I kept hearing about all the wonderful things it does. It was missing the taste good thing. So this is a great way to baby step my way into the coconut health trend without missing a beat.

I was going to write about all the fabulous properties of Silk Almond Coconut Blend then I had a brainstorm - I'll just show you the product info. Note that the Silk Almond Coconut Milk I chose only has 50 calories per serving (1 cup) and there is an unsweetened version with just 35 calories too.

Another fun way to enjoy S…

Putting it Out - I am Going to Quit Smoking

Other people can do it - why not me ? Intellectually I know smoking is bad ...bad...bad. Yet here I am puffing while I am writing this . I decided a good tool for me would be to blog about it and put it out in the world which ironically is a double entendre and a good motto for my quest. I need to gather my tools and thought I would ask the web for ideas. What worked...what did not ... why ideas worked and why they did not.

I took a big step yesterday and spoke with a coach supplied by my husband's insurance company and learned a lot. I check back in two weeks. I also made a goal to reduce my daily count of cigarettes from 22 to 15. Leap of faith - I do not know for sure how many I smoke a day so the first thing I need to do is establish an accurate way to keep count. I would definitely love a proven method someone has successfully used to do this!
I also started my denial and poohed a great idea that makes sense to me logically which is to switch brands.

I guess I am asking fo…

Bulletproof Picasso by Train ~ "Happy Birthday Baby" to Me ~

Bulletproof Picasso by Train bounces around from upbeat catchy tunes to ballads. It seems like the group was going through a reflective time . I tried to delve into the meaning of the album as a whole since I received it complimentary from Sony Music and One2One network to review . First time I have really explored an album this way. Usually I just hear a song and if I can not get it out of my head I go check out the band .

The more I listen perhaps it is just me being reflective. I love music that can make you feel things and reminds you of memories. The music is not all nostalgic ~ there is a feeling of hope and even some humor . A line in "Son of a Prison Guard" which is a melancholic song made me burst out laughing. Hmm should I share ...okay I will - "My mother bless her heart just set the bar too high to start". I am going to have to figure out which band member is from the South.

I also love music you can sing to and dance to - the…

Honey ~ Blue Diamond Almonds ~ Go Anywhere Treat

My friend Katrina called and invited me to go see an outdoor jazz concert featuring Adrian Duke Project at Thrasher Park in Norcross, GA one Friday night at 6:30 pm. Concert started at 7:30 pm. I really had to scramble to get ready and thankfully I happened to have some Blue Diamond Honey Roasted Almonds handy so I threw them in my bag with some cupcake liners for serving. We arrived just in time for the first set and we were hungry so we dove in right away. My favorite was the Honey Roasted Vanilla Almonds and Katrina preferred the Honey Roasted Chipotle ~ call us sweet & spicy. We were fueled just right for a little dancing.

The concert was a lot of fun and a nice setting for Blue Diamond Honey Roasted Almonds because being outdoors reminded me of another passion of Blue Diamond ~ honeybees. Blue Diamond has been helping fund research since 1976 including Project Apis m. which is run by beekeepers. Great site to learn lots about honeybees - they pollinate 1/3 of the world's…

Upscale Your Kitchen with Ozeri Epicurean Digital Kitchen Scale

This is the first kitchen scale I have ever owned . I know one feature that attracts me to it is the sleek design - very modern and chic with a reflective contoured base and touch operations. Another nice touch is that it is battery operated with automatic shut off yet turns on with just a touch.

Another great feature of the Ozeri Epicurean Digital Kitchen Scale is the tare function .

Tare is the weight of a container before adding content to it . The scale registers the weight of the container and deducts it automatically so you are given the precise weight of what you put in. Especially great if you are weighing more than one item.

I decided to see what a serving of cereal looked like. I have always been curious.

A scale can be used for measuring your servings or creating epicurean delights that require more precise measurement. Next thing I am going to try is weighing a package for mailing. This way I know about how much I will expect to pay to ship it!

Summer Snacking Made Easy with Blue Diamond Almonds

Trying to keep fueled and healthy this summer? Blue Diamond Almonds are a super snack for so many reasons. They are ideal for outdoor activities - whether you are hanging out in the yard or headed to the park - since they won't get crushed. Almonds can satisfy the urge for a salty snack while providing loads of Vitamin E and magnesium. Vitamin E is great stuff for your skin and magnesium helps with proper muscle function so while you are out running around in the sun what better treat than Blue Diamond Almonds :D Vitamin E and magnesium also fight inflammation (

My sister Tera likes taking them with us when we go on road trips. She will forget basic stuff like toothpaste or an atlas but if I ask where the almonds are no problem!  We basically live out of the car on our trips so almonds work out great ~ no matter how hot it gets in the car or what we throw on top of them they survive deliciously. Makes them great for camping too. OOh I bet they would be fab …

Freeman Beauty BareFoot Spa Professional Moisturizing Massage Cream is for All-Body

Not just for feet any more! Welcome to the new Freeman Beauty Bare Foot experience with products designed for all of your skin needs. I have always loved Freeman products and it was great when gave me a chance to review a new one.

I gave this product a few little tests - after willy nilly slathering it all over my feet first :D . Since this is for all over the body now I put it on one arm and did not use it again. Kind of drives me nuts playing scientist as I have the summer skin blues . I won't for long because this stuff really works and after a few days and another shower I can still feel the difference after only one use!

One of the stipulations for my review was to find the product at WalMart and that was easier said than done - WalMart places the Freeman Beauty products in different places and each WalMart is different. I found this line in a center aisle display with other products designated for use in the sun near the gardening center.

Egg Friendly and Earth Friendly- Ceramic Green Earth Pan by Ozeri

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

This product is a game changer - I am cooking more and having fun doing it. The Ozeri Green Earth Pan not only makes it easier to cook it makes it safer.
The textured ceramic cooking surface creates air pockets which distribute heat underneath food to enhance cooking performance. Less heat needed means less energy used.
This ceramic coating is 100% PTFE and PFOA free meaning no harmful fumes are emitted during cooking. -PTFE = PolyTetraFluroEthylene - the fumes of which can be lethal to birds and small pets -PFOA=PerFluroOctanicAcid - persistent pollutant (does not break down)
I did not know about these before I reviewed this ! It was great to cook eggs and have them just slide around with very minimal oil. Basically you just season the pan and you are ready. That worked so well the next day I purposely spilled over the cheese on a grilled cheese to delightful and delicious results.

Scrambling was all I…

Game at Your Own Pace With ThinkFun Solitaire Chess :D

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Sometimes you just want to unplug and get away from it all. The phone, the TV, the computer are all fun yet you do not get away from the ads, the reminders, the to-do list, the pace of things set by others.
That is why I jumped at the chance to review Solitaire Chess Strategic Skill Building Game . No logging in or setting up a time to play. You just set up the space friendly board book and maybe throw a log on the fire.
I like a challenge, I like time to ponder or putter and I love games. ThinkFun’s Solitaire Chess fits all these categories. It also purports to reduce stress and provide a good brain workout. So far so good but we’ll see about the stress level when I get to the harder levels...

It is really portable so I am trying to get myself to take it outside and get some extra Vitamin D. I think it would be great for parents sitting outside watching the kids play. Other thoughts: gift giving, put in the…

Birds of a Feather Flock Together on G+ #GrowingCirclesHop

Learning about Google+ is an adventure and joining in the #GrowingCirclesHop is a great way to do it! The common thread for this flock is to meet other people that use Google+ and quite a diverse group of birds this is. I co-hosted for the first time last week and met social media bloggers, foodies, do-it your selfers, fashionistas, artists and more! Actually a little overwhelming as like a butterfly I was flitting from flower to flower.
I am still processing all I learned yet here I am back to happily co-host this week because it was so much fun. You can apply to co-host or just join in by using the hashtag  #growingcircleshop. I grew my followers by 30+ and since this group tends to trend I predict even more this week as it is truly growing and this week I am better prepared.
A great thing about co-hosting is I now have permanent links to everyone who participated on my blog post however those are not the only fine birds I met.

Here is the fancy html provided to me if you want to…

Special K Coffee House Breakfast Shakes Start Your Day Out Right

It has been a lot of fun reviewing Special K Coffee House Breakfast Shakes and they have become part of my daily routine. I was sent a  "bzzkit" from that included one Vanilla and one Chocolate Mocha Special K Coffee House Breakfast Shake and some coupons.

I decided it would be fun to go to our local park so I could take some interesting pictures, throw some frisbee and try them out ~ good enough excuse for a little picnic. :D

I just wanted something light and easy so I opted for roast beef sandwiches and the Special K Coffee House Breakfast Shakes. These drinks need a nickname - I am going to call them Bzz Special K Shakes since bzzagent introduced me to them and they make me buzz around like a bee. For one thing I do not think they are just for breakfast ~ I like them for a pick me up snack. The label reads like a vitamin bottle and they have as much caffeine as a small cup of coffee.

So whether you are hitting the road or your computer chair in the a.m. I wou…

Want a Grape Way to Start the day? Join in the Fun at Google+ #GrowingCirclesHop!

Whether you are just curious, just confused or just savvy about Google+ this is a fun way to meet a diverse group of Google+ users. Truthfully I am still a little confused and started out just posting pictures and found some fun groups with themes like #SignSunday and #stairsthursday. I have seen seasoned social media friends fumbling about on Google+ still - I am thinking of one in particular who published a book on social media. So don't be afraid ; just click, copy the hashtag (#GrowingCirclesHop) and post a little something. I always find it interesting who I find  I have some family members that rarely frequent most other social media sites yet they love Google+! I use a Google blog so my blog posts go straight there which is a " Google + " too :D

Sometimes I jump in with both feet and volunteered to co-host this "morning" event but no worries - you can join in the fun anytime!

They even gave me this fancy html :D
