Gourmet Easy Style with Private Selection Brand from Kroger

Image
carrottarts.blogspot.com When I want something a little fancy for dinner without a lot of fuss Kroger Private Selection Brand makes it easy.  Fine dining can be fun but sometimes I just want fine food . Lots easier to just head to Kroger and look for the distinctive brown and gold label than make a reservation and get dressed up. There are lots of items to choose from to make a complete gourmet experience from appetizer through dessert . This time we opted for Private Selection Steakhouse Angus Beef Patties and they were seasoned perfectly right out of the box. A quick dash over to the deli and produce sections for Kroger pretzel rolls , prepared in house coleslaw , Roma tomatoes and radicchio and we were all set. Easy. Private Selection is just one of the many in house labels the Kroger family of stores has launched in recent years. There is also the Simple Truth Natural and Simple Truth Organic line, the PSST bargain product line as well as HemisFares which features regio...

Make Summer Food Fun and Easy

Image
Did you know there were Kroger Brand Sliders? No need to form bunches of patties by hand when these little darlings are ready to go straight from the freezer to the grill , oven or stove. They even have great little slider buns that fit perfectly. I love these! They were hiding next to the frozen seafood. Also there are  regular sized burgers and seasoned turkey burgers. Pair 'em up with some pickles and Kroger Brand potato chips - easy peasy.   Summer is the time to get creative with fresh fruit.  I created my own sundae with Kroger Deluxe Vanilla Bean ice cream , fruit and some strawberry preserves. No fancy sundae dishes?  Just use some cute glasses! Kimberly's Summer Sundae Kroger Deluxe Ice Cream Caramel Ice Cream Topping 1 banana sliced 4 tsp. Strawberry Preserves 1/4 cup blueberries  Drizzle sides of glass with caramel topping and add a scoop of ice cream. Add a layer of banana , half of the blueberries and 2 tsp o...

MorningStar Farms - Adventure in Veggie Land

We had a lot of fun trying out Morning Star Farms products and here are some of the ways I prepared them.  One especially nice surprise was how easy they are to prepare in the microwave. Really easy. So not only are they a more healthful alternative and yummy there is way less mess. MorningStar Farms Spicy Black Bean Burger on whole wheat pita with shredded carrots and kale. Bolillo roll, Boston lettuce, horseradish cheddar cheese, Roma tomato and Morningstar Grillers Original. Mmm smells like sausage! I am going to try cooking some in the microwave and some in the oven The MorningStar Original Sausage Patties on the right were cooked in the oven. I think the oven cooked patties look plumper. I think these are going to be great with some local honey. Did you know using honey from your region helps to combat local allergens? This is just the beginning of my MorningStar Adventure in Veggie Land. I see lots of ideas. Chili keeps popping i...
