Fall Favorite ~ Easy Banana Bread

Image
Warm the house by baking some banana bread. My sister Valerie shared this recipe with me :D Banana Bread Recipe Prep time: 5 minutes Cook time: 1 hour   Ingredients : 3 or 4 ripe bananas, mashed. 1/3 cup melted butter 1 cup sugar (can easily reduce to 3/4 cup) 1 egg, beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon baking soda Pinch of salt 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour optional ~ add your favorite nuts like walnuts Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). With a wooden spoon, mix butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Add the flour last, mix. Pour mixture into a buttered 4x8 inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve. Yield: Makes one loaf.

I was a little surprised when the bag poofed up ~ if you zoom in you can see how juicy this is. Using caution I cut open the bag and poured into the bowls. That is the baking dish I used and see how clean it is? Super easy and a great dinner. Learn from my mistakes: 1) Read the directions first because you need to remove an oven rack before you preheat the oven. 2) Be careful when opening the package because the directions are right at the top - I tore right through them! 3) Try not to get too much air in the bag because you need room to move the meat and if you choose veg
